Before he can think too much about it, Tachihara leans in with a ferocious snarl. Junichirou's collar is dragged downwards as the cold barrel of a gun connects with his skin, sending a shiver down his spine. He looks up, staring into guarded brown eyes that glint dangerously in this light.
Instinctively, Light Snow thrums under his veins. His world begins flickering, but an even harsher press of the gun drags him back to reality.

Kenji wasn’t a light sleeper. If he was, he couldn’t nap at the agency like he did after a case closed and a good meal. But he also wasn’t particularly a heavy sleeper either. It just wasn’t noise that woke him up, but sensations — like hunger or pain. Things that activated his ability, told him he needed to get up now.
Which is why the only thing that woke Kenji up was the sharp prick on the back of his neck. His eyes blinked open as he raised a hand to sleepily swat away what Kenji assumed to be a mosquito — it was summer after all.

Why go through the trouble? Why was he so insistent on caring about Verlaine? Arthur had gone to take another step forward but stopped himself but simply spoke.
"I don't want to leave you to raise him on your own. And I don't want you to be alone either. If I return without you, the organization would question me too much and I'd rather not hurt my friend." Arthur explained before he smiled gently and held a hand out to Verlaine. "Will you allow me to become part of your plan?"
