Upon arrival her curiosity and boldness quickly attracts the attention of Ambrose Tepes, a man seemingly materialized from thin air, someone the town eyes with suspicion. As the two strangers grow closer, brought together by a mutual interest in exploring the woods, the town's mysteries start to unravel around them.
Though she feels safe with him, Elitsa cannot help but believe Ambrose has something to do with the feared monsters that the townspeople swear lurk amongst the shadowy trees. As she works to piece together just how closely this man is connected to the town's history of tragedies, Ambrose is torn between confiding in this human woman, or continuing to live a life of secrecy. Afterall, it is said humans and vampires cannot, and should not, co-exist, let alone fall in love. Set two years after the famous "Disaster" at the Opera Populaire, the story of the Phantom of the Opera has already begun to fade from memory and into legend. Many of the old staff since quit, leaving the Opera in the care of a greedy new manager to restore it to it's former glory. All seems to be thriving and an incredible streak of good luck has descended upon the Opera in the absence of it's famed "Ghost." The company is joined by Amelie Dupannier, an apprentice seamstress with wistful fantasies of being on stage in the ornate garments she is tasked with mending for the performers. Late at night she uncovers that there is more that lurks in the shadows of the Paris Opera House than old superstitions could prepare her for.
Just because the ghosts of the past have been quiet, does not mean they are gone for good...The events, relationships, and appearance of the characters are based on the ALW stage adaptation with some added details from the book and Movie versions sprinkled in.
