Summary
Set shortly after the Raid on Liberio. Porco Galliard's hometown has been destroyed, nearly being taken along with it. Reiner Braun, his childhood rival, however, manages to save him from certain death at the last second. As Reiner recuperates at Liberio's infirmary, Porco begins an internal struggle. Why would someone he always shows hostility towards save him? How could he even begin to thank him for saving his life?

Eddie stares at him helplessly. He can’t deny it. He is here.
Of his own volition.
Because he’s crazy, and he followed Buck here, to a porn cinema, and he walked in on Buck getting fucked in the ass by a stranger, surrounded by half-naked men, with artistic gay porn projected on the wall like some sort of presentation and he’s still staring at Buck who is naked and he’s going to faint. He’s going to faint at the porn cinema, and they’re going to have to take him away in an ambulance, and Hen is going to make fun of him for the rest of his mortal life.
Or: Buck dodges Eddie’s calls. Eddie makes it his mission to find him.

“Buck,” Eddie repeats, like the word sounds foreign to him.
“What’s your full name?”
He squints. “Eddie…Diaz.”
“No, your full name. Your legal name. Do you know it?” He’s starting to panic. The dispatcher’s voice speaks in the background, but Buck can’t focus on what she’s saying.
“Eddie?” he repeats. “Diaz,” he adds.
“Edmundo,” Buck whispers. His steady demeanor cracks. He closes his eyes, tears streaming down his face. “Edmundo Ramón Diaz,” he says, voice trembling.
In the middle of the Arizona desert, Eddie gets sick.
