The man just stands there, staring at Mickey, like he can still see the imprint of Ian’s lips on his cheek and the sight is nothing short of revolting. It’s only a few seconds later when his buddy calls him over, tells him it’s his turn to shoot, and the man looks away first.

That's the thing about Mickey, when he’s determined to do something, god damn it he’s gonna do it. Until he sees fit to stop. And that’s why it’s a quarter to midnight and he’s still hunched over these tax documents, his reading glasses sliding down his nose. He's going to overwork himself and Ian knows it - tries to sweet-talk him to bed - appreciates him doing this for them, but at what cost?
"Half an hour." That's what Mickey said. Why does Ian have the feeling he'll wake up long after that and his husband will be nowhere in sight? Tonight, he'll need to rely on using a gentle hand.
