    For some reason, Jack decides to bring Race with him and Davey to Brooklyn. He thinks it’ll somehow convince Spot to join the strike, because Race clearly holds some amount of sway with someone up top—he is, after all, the only Manhattan newsie that’s allowed to sell in Brooklyn on a regular basis.
    Turns out that Race has much better connections in Brooklyn than he let on, and Jack and Davey are more than confused. Especially when they start putting pieces together, and eventually realize part of the reason why Race spends so much time in Brooklyn.

    In which there are three different alleyways, Jack and Davey are oblivious idiots, Race isn’t, and Hotshot is given some of the respect she deserves.
