to a friend, and happy VERY late birthday of me spinning your story into its opposite. and doing a bad job of it. '
nature drags those who wrong her into the earth to join her in all her glory.
but she isn't the only perpetrator here.
she still falls victim to it.

Do you think we could love too?
Would you ever want to? It seems an awful lot of work. It causes them such great grief.
One supposes it is high risk, low reward.
Would you want to love?
I want everything I don’t have.
I am frustrated by lack. That a being as cosmically insignificant as them experiences such unfathomable things I cannot.

Summary
It’s not an affair as such but it still feels just as illicit. There’s something thrilling about knowing that they’re so flagrantly ignoring what is required of them both, that they should have killed each other a hundred times over rather than repeatedly falling into bed together.
Vampire, vampire hunter, like Romeo and Juliet but they’re less stupid and he drinks more blood.

Summary
Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson had never seen eye to eye. As the two most ambitious men in the office, both working just beneath George Washington, their rivalry was infamous—shouting matches in meetings, snide remarks in emails, and a tension so thick it could choke a man. Their coworkers had long since learned to keep them apart, even moving their offices to opposite ends of the building.
But tension had a way of demanding release. One particularly heated argument, late at night in the empty office, left them breathless, standing too close, eyes locked. Maybe all that anger wasn’t just hatred. Maybe they just needed to fuck some of that tension out.
