"You seem in high spirits, lately.” She tells her after Yelan stops by the Jade Chamber to give her a full report of her last mission. “Are you seeing someone ?"
Instead of answering, Yelan throws her head back and laughs. A genuine laugh, which does absolutely nothing to convince Ningguang that she’s mistaken.
"Whoever they are, they must be very good if they can distract you from work for more than a few hours.” The Tianquan muses.

Summary
It had started in the most absurd way possible; humoring the Oni despite the soaking rain. Now it had grown into an emerging incident Ayato needed to think through before it became unmanageable.
Between a war-torn nation and violent power grabs between clans, Kamisato Ayato finds himself becoming attached to a certain wild spirited Oni. He can only blame himself for returning to Ritou often enough to form the growing unexpected bond between them, but he didn't expect Itto's personality to mesh so well with his own sadistic urges upon their meeting.
So much changed right under his nose. Those blindspots would get them both killed if Ayato wasn't careful. Pursuit of desire may cloud more than only his judgment in the end.
But Ayato had accomplished far greater feats before. Though, with how Oni were viewed within Inazuman society and the future objections to the lack of the Yashiro Commission having a direct heir from him in the Kamisato clan would both make it a great challenge, he was determined to bend decorum to his will to gain Itto by his side. And squirming under his boot.

Kotetsu let out a bark of laughter as a thought hit him. “Anyway, if I hadn’t kept my promise, I wouldn’t have met you, Bunny. Then where would the two of us be?”
Much to Kotetsu’s delight, his words earned not only a small chuckle from Barnaby, but also that bright, genuine smile that only seemed to appear once in a blue moon.
“That is a bit difficult to imagine at this point,” Barnaby added, his expression settling into that fond look that made Kotetsu’s heart leap into his throat every time it was directed at him.

Floyd sighed, letting his entire upper body against the counter, eyes glued to the two people a few meters away. They could only watch and feel second hand embarrassment at Idia asking about every single item in the menu but the twins knew he’d order the same one, and Azul painstakingly explaining each ingredient, as if he hadn’t done that many times already. The tips of Idia’s long, flame hair were not blue anymore, but a reddish orange instead, and since Azul was with his back facing them they couldn’t see his face, but they bet it was beet-red anyway.
