Shouyou was someone one couldn't help but feel an affectionate pull towards, and Sakusa couldn't blame anyone for being so drawn in. It was a naturally occurring thing —like the sun rising from the east—but he did not appreciate his time with Shouyou being shortened just because everyone else also wanted his attention.

He was always happy to see the blonde, and he was about to say so, until he had spotted what he was holding in his hand: a dozen or so white envelopes with his familiar scrawl of handwriting that suspiciously looked like the letters he religiously stashed away from prying eyes.
His fears are only solidified when Tsukki tilts his head like he’s trying to figure something out but can’t, and asks the most dreaded question to be asked by your best friend.

"And then they fell in love," the older man repeated fondly. "They had found each other in suffering and became stronger together, which was what the gods had intended with their gift all this time. The union of their kingdoms through marriage is how Karasuno came to be."
"And now we're celebrating five hundred years of the kingdom tomorrow," Kuroo whoops and pumps his fist into the air. He was already thinking about all the game tents and food stands he was going to visit.
Kuroo meets the crown prince of Karasuno at the quincentennial of the kingdom's creation, and his life is changed forever.

“But I can be so dense, sometimes. I’m afraid you’ll have to spell it out for me.”
“Can’t you tell just by looking at me?” Yamaguchi does well to hide the panic in his voice with irritation, but he’s growing more desperate and embarrassed as the interaction drags on.
“Just this once,” he pleads. Maybe it’s just a trick of the light when Yamaguchi notices that the blonde’s eyes shine bright and golden, and reflect a certain vulnerability within their depths.
Whatever was in his eyes in that moment had moved Yamaguchi so much that in the next one, he’s confessing to him so sincerely that even he is fooled by his ruse for a brief amount of time.
By the looks of it, Tsukishima is satisfied with the admission. So satisfied in fact, that he nods seriously and says, “Okay, I’ll date you.”
Yamaguchi was only supposed to confess to some guy, not date him.
Or, Yamaguchi Tadashi's first assignment as the newest revenge hotline employee is to break Tsukishima Kei's heart, and he totally sucks at it.

Then, and maybe he was imagining it, but—yes, it was! Someone was calling out to him! He quickly turned around and came face-to-face with a human who had a peculiar color of striking orange for hair. He was shorter than Kiyoomi, only reaching up to his shoulders, and seemed to be waiting patiently for a reply to a question he had asked the alien.
"I'm sorry, what?" Kiyoomi asks dumbly. The human laughs. It's loud and also music to his ears.
"You're not from around here, are you?"
On his quest of trying to find his cousin to take him back to Pluto, Alien Kiyoomi discovers the existence of a second sun instead.

“Don’t leave me behind.” It’s a plea that comes out of left field to Kageyama. In his fever-addled state, he assumes Hinata would be more vulnerable, but he did not expect this.
Regarding that plea though, it’s too late now for Kageyama to do that, even if he one day wanted to. Ever since that match in middle school, the ginger had been on his mind; a constant presence looming over him until they had met again in the Karasuno school gym. It meant something that this happened, Kageyama was sure of it.
But he didn’t really know how to say all of that, especially to someone who was letting his fever talk for him in his half-asleep state, so he just said, “I wouldn’t.”
The day Hinata gets hurt opens up a Pandora's box of new feelings and emotions that Kageyama can't wrap his head around. It's confusing and he understands that he knows nothing, but he knows Hinata, and that's enough.
or Hinata gets hurt and Kageyama reassures him with a promise.

Princesses must always know what to say, she scolds herself, while grasping desperately for a coherent train of thought. She wonders if her manners mistress ever encountered a person with a gaze like Kanoka’s, that could make one forget more than just their words. If she’d ever felt love like this, then maybe she’d have a little more grace for this princess who loses her tongue every time she meets her lover’s eyes.
Yachi fears she'll chase Kanoka away with her demands, and Kanoka is on a mission to show the princess that she's here to stay.
