Yaku felt the want claw its way up him, desperate to shatter Kuroo’s teasing composure. Wanted to see the smooth-talking idiot completely undone, breathless and crying out – crying out for Yaku – under the glow of the city behind him. He wanted to see how Kuroo looked when he wasn’t fighting back, how he’d look completely surrendered to Yaku.
Kuroo was nothing if not sharp, eyes narrowing as he caught the sudden, dangerous change in Yaku’s posture, the tired glaze in his eyes vanished, replaced by a sudden, sharp attentiveness.
“Yakkun, what-” Kuroo blinked, sitting up slightly, on edge. “You look like you’re planning my murder.”
Yaku discarded the book on the table, dropping it with a thud. He stood, stepping out of the shadows and into the amber glow of the desk lamp.
“Not murder you, Tetsuro,” Yaku hummed, his voice steady as he walked to the desk, eyes locked on Kuroo. “Not exactly.”--

A few moments later, they’re in Atsumu’s room, next to each other and leaning on some propped up pillows. Atsumu’s laptop glows so bright it burns his eyes when he turns it on, and Shouyou laughs at him for his momentary suffering. The blanket is laid haphazardly over their bodies, laptop positioned a little further down.
Vaguely, Atsumu thinks about how he can feel every wave of Shouyou’s body heat from every inch that they’re pressed against each other. Out loud, he says, “If ya fall asleep here, I’m not carryin’ ya back.”
