"When we get out of here, we are going for a drink."

Cliff splutters and twists his fingers into the fabric of his jeans because it's rare that he catches anyone's attention, let alone someone as forward as Marie-Claire.

alternatively: i've watched the cardboard stegosaurus far too many times, and decided i needed to know what happened to these silly little characters before and after the play. and now they're all i think about ;-; i love them so much <3

    Summary

It doesn’t matter what the farmer’s name was, or what crops he farmed, or how many children he had, if he had any at all. It doesn't matter what the price was. It could be enchanted gold, souls or children for all we care. It doesn't matter if it was a farmer, if it was a man or a woman or a child. The witch could be a man too, what did it matter? Maybe the farmer wasn't a farmer at all, maybe he was a merchant, or a scholar, or a baron or lord or even king.

All that matters is this: there is always someone desperate, and there is always a witch, and people will always go into the woods with thoughts of love or wealth or fame or power in their head, and the witch will always ask for something in return.

    Got it?

Or: the one wish that Titch never got to make, the one that Margaery refused to take, and the one that he finally made when everything's at stake.

Mark me, I shall kill this woman now.
Then I will remove her from your sight.

    ESMERALDA:
You, I say, will ne'er do such a thing!
You will take your leave to our bed,
    and Thou wilt teacheth me—

    MAIDEN:
    O, yea?

    ESMERALDA:
    O, yea.

It’s Shakespeare and SFTH. What’s not to love? Best read aloud.

    Summary

If someone had asked him two years ago what he loved, he’d have said aubergines. One year ago and he’d have said aubergines and also Derek. But the very moment those two lads had appeared at the door of his farmhouse, it was as if the world around him had closed up and all he could see was his little family: Derek and the boys.

    ***

Eight months after two mysterious children appear at the aubergine farm, Titch spends his night learning some uncomfortable truths about his boys.
