Summary
It shouldn't be a big deal, what Steve (aka Prince Harrington) and Eddie (aka Count Munchausen) plan for a low-stakes match, on a low-stakes episode of Monday Night Raw, during a low-stakes part of the wrestling year. But turns out, it is kind of a big deal. And turns out, the stakes are actually pretty damn high.

Summary
Baze had taken most of these details in over the past week, as he’d shadowed his target, learned his habits, picked his time and place. But he hadn’t taken an up-close look until today, driven by frustration and repeated failure into a close-range attempt.
The subject of his examination crosses his hands over his staff, looking like an old Jedi statue. “Want some tea?”
Baze had supposed he was past surprising today. “What?”
“Getting your ass kicked is thirsty work, I’m told,” the blind man says solicitously.
Baze scowls. “Man tries to kill you, and you offer him tea?”
“I was taught that a good effort should always be rewarded, regardless of the outcome. And besides, are you likely to try it again?”
“Yes,” Baze says immediately. “Very likely.”
“Ah well,” the man shrugs. “Life is all about taking chances. I’ll just trust in the Force to protect me.”

Summary
Steve’s life is good. He’s managed to keep Dustin safe, coming up on six years of the two of them criss-crossing the Midwest, tracking down the monsters who are still slipping through the cracks between worlds, and ending them. And he’s got PK686766, who he met in an anonymous chatroom and whose emails are now kinda the highlight of his day. And who can maybe give him a little advice on what to do when a guy you thought was dead suddenly returns out of nowhere, and is now apparently set on blowing up your life.
Eddie’s life is fine. He’s alive, for one thing. Has gotten pretty good by now at his new gig, letting Uncle Sam point him like a cannon at extra-dimensional nasties and go “boom.” Sure, things are a little more complicated now that Steve Harrington has decided to be a massive bitch about Eddie’s attempts to stop his and Dustin’s homicidal amateur crusade against the forces of darkness. But he’s got the next message from Capt200Free waiting in his inbox, and a growing feeling that maybe he doesn't want this little anonymous pen pal situation to stay anonymous much longer.

Summary
“Uh,” Eddie says. “Hey Wheeler.”
“I’m leaving Hawkins at the end of the summer,” she says fiercely. “And I’m not coming back.”
“Oh,” Eddie clears his throat. “Good for you.” It’s a very popular sentiment around town these days, personally Eddie thinks it should be put into practice across the board.
“You’re coming with me,” Nancy says, in a tone that doesn’t really invite discussion or argument.
“Um. Okay?”
Seriously? That’s all you got, man? But before Eddie can get through fully kicking his own ass for that weak response, Wheeler’s giving him a tight nod and a flash of a satisfied smile, before getting back in the car and onto the road without so much as another word or glance at him.

Summary
“I’ve been bringing my flock over these hills for years,” Steve offers. “It’s nice, this close to Hallow’s Eve, around here. The apples,” he gestures towards the stranger with one of them, and takes a big bite. “The leaves changing color,” he says, spitting bits of apple inelegantly into the fire. They pop and sizzle when they hit the flames, briefly filling the air with a spiced, earthy smell.
“This close?” The stranger looks at him, eyebrows raised. He’s got such an expressive face, Steve almost wants to seize him by the cheeks and see how he can stretch it, press it, what shapes it might make in his hands. “How close?”
“To Hallow’s Eve?” Steve loses track of days out here, so he has to retrace the last few sunsets, how many of them have passed since he last waved goodbye to Robin as he brought out the flock. “I don’t know… a week? Little less?”
“That soon,” the man says quietly. Stares into the fire, expressive face gone still. “Almost out of time.”

Let us Dwell in Fair Ithilien and There Make a Garden by materialism, sparklyslug
Fandom Stranger Things (TV 2016)
28 Jul 2025
Summary
'I stand in Minas Anor, the Tower of the Sun,' she said; 'and behold! the Shadow has departed! I will be a shieldmaiden no longer, nor vie with the great Riders, nor take joy only in the songs of slaying. I will be a healer, and love all things that grow and are not barren.' And again she looked at Faramir. 'No longer do I desire to be a queen,' she said.
Then Faramir laughed merrily. 'That is well,' he said; 'for I am not a king. Yet I will wed with the White Lady of Rohan, if it be her will. And if she will, then let us cross the River and in happier days let us dwell in fair Ithilien and there make a garden. All things will grow with joy there, if the White Lady comes.'

Summary
After the war, Bucky tries to lose himself in New York City. Gale finds him anyway.
-----
With a yawn, John unlocks the door and pulls it open, and that yawn becomes a squeak, which becomes a cough, which becomes “Buck?” He squeezes his eyes shut, rubs them with his knuckles, and pries them back open.
Gale is still there in the soft light of the hotel hallway, the leather of his A-3 jacket gleaming and crusher cap angled just-so, toothpick a taunt and temptation both in the corner of his mouth. He’s smirking and, if John didn’t know better, blushing as he gives John a quick once-over. John looks down at himself. Lipstick is still smeared on his nipples. Clearing his throat, he tugs the robe tighter shut, shielding his chest from Gale’s sight.
Blue eyes flick up to his, amusement crystal clear. John feels faint. Perhaps this is how a Victorian felt upon seeing an ankle.
“Hey, Major,” Gale says, his familiar drawl like fingernails over John’s skin, scattering goosebumps. John wants to shiver. He abstains. “You’re a hard man to find.”
