Summary
Everytime Obito attempted to stay undetected as he tiptoed out of his borrowed room, he still always ended up leaving a revealing trail of dead, broken off feathers behind him. In his haste to stay hidden, they fluttered to the floor without him realizing, leaving themselves on display for all to see his shame. He only knew about the evidence now because Minato and Kushina had noticed and brought it up in concern, attempting to gently prod him for answers about whether he was taking care of his wings or not. He had muttered a few embarrassed assurances, a few humiliated excuses, but he knew that they knew the truthful answer was a simple and glaring no.

Everything was too loud. Different sounds grated, scraped, and screeched all around, overlapping into a horrendous symphony that rang directly into Gaara's skull.
