“You’re kidding, right?”
Max has heard incredibly stupid things from her group of absolutely idiotic friends, but this?
This takes the cake.
She looks up from the braid she’s currently creating in El’s now shoulder length hair and over at Mike who’s arms are crossed in front his chest, his lips turned downwards in it’s all too typical scowl (when he brings up things he thinks are important and no one else seems to believe it’s that big of a deal). Next to him is Dustin who, despite the loud Weird Al sweatshirt, is nodding sadly. Worry Max hasn’t seen since before El closed the gates, etched on his normally happy face.
To their credit, both Will and Lucas look up from the character sheets they were discussing just as confused as Max.
“You guys saw the bruises,” Mike says, the edge still there, but Max hears more concern than anything, “And, we asked Robin. She wouldn’t tell us anything—”
“Wouldn’t even deny it,” Dustin adds.

The Party sees the bruises on Steve and worries Eddie's hurting him. Max thinks they're idiots, but due to her past, is skeptical too. They decide to find out. Max POV

Summary
Steve learns from an early age that when your birthday happens to be on Christmas it's easy to be forgotten, overshadowed by the festive lights and holiday traditions. It's fine. Steve accepted it years ago. It's not like he's going to stomp his feet and throw a tantrum demanding people to pay attention to him. Instead, he lies, tells everyone he has plans, and let's them celebrate Christmas the way they really want to. And it works.

Summary
Eddie was previously unaware that hospitals hired angels, and yet here one was, standing over his prone form, smiling down at him.
“Hffrgh,” Eddie tried.
“Hey, Eddie,” the angel said.
“You know my name?” Eddie slurred out.
The angel reached down to hold Eddie’s hand, cocking his head in confusion. “Course I do? How’re you feeling though, baby?”
OR: Eddie wakes up after top surgery to find an angel standing over him. He's not sure why, but he's definitely not going to ask questions, especially when the angel is calling him baby(!).

And how could Steve explain it? Coming out as queer to a friend/coworker who went through immense trauma with you was one thing. It was another thing to tell her that he was in love with her boyfriend of two years - who cheated on her with him.

Robin is Eddie's beard, and vice versa. You would think he would tell Steve, his boyfriend of four months, about this arrangement.
