Summary
Take a heaping handful of pseudo archeologist tomb explorers, add a couple of immortals, and stir well. Then sprinkle with a powerful and ancient god-artifact capable of time travel, an opinionated sword that was worshiped enough it developed a spirit, and enough hijinks to sink any team that doesn't have a protagonist halo protecting them.

Also featuring assassinations, abdication, exile, highway robbery, farm life, spy networks, and a healthy dose of romance (or what passes for it with these three).

This is amazing and beautiful. I loved that LWJ actually grows and ages in this fic, and that he is shown as intellegent and thoughtful, always putting the well being of innocents first but acknowledging his own emotions and giving himself time for them too. The author has a very skilled hand with showing the passage of time and people's inner thoughts - I really enjoyed it.
Anyhow, this left me in a much happier mood than I started the day in. Thanks -
