Fear once again struck Makoto. “No,” he replied almost immediately. “Ryoji, I can’t.”
Ryoji put a finger to Makoto’s lips and shushed him before letting out a soft chuckle. “Weren’t you the one to pull out the knife in the first place? You clearly planned to use it, no?”
Makoto had no argument. He stayed silent as Ryoji locked eyes.
“If you’re not going to kill me, then at least do this.”
