Erebus folded his arms over his chest. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Of course you don't. You're very mysterious, Planet W.” Neptune beamed at him. Erebus just rolled his eyes. "The one who spent billions of years alone in the darkness!" He tossed the asteroids back into the line, gravity strengthening briefly as he pushed them into place. "But I really like to think I can be perceptive. It's one of my many talents. Right up there with juggling and also remembering all my moons' names. And Uranus’s!” His eyes narrowed, an expression off enough that Erebus wanted to look away. “And what I am perceptively percepting is that you want to talk to him, and you're too scared to do it."
"I'm not scared of Uranus. And is that a word?”

Summary
Saturn gave a sudden, sinuous twist of his hips that caught Erebus genuinely off guard. The world tilted, and suddenly Erebus was the one with his back against the couch cushions, Saturn astride his hips, golden hair falling around their faces like a curtain. “Much better.” He braced his hands against his chest. “The sight of you above me is lovely, but I think I like you here a little bit more. Pinned beneath me.” He rolled his hips in a slow, dragging grind that made Erebus hiss through clenched teeth, blood rushing south so fast it left him dizzy. “Doesn’t it feel nice?”
Or; In which Saturn and Erebus are the ones home alone for once.

“Oh, don’t be like that, Erebus,” Saturn chimed in, a pout audible enough in his voice that Uranus could imagine his expression without even looking up at him. “Jupi just thought he’d save us some time!” Erebus huffed. “And look on the bright side, darling. At least we’re heading home and not on the way there! We don’t have to worry about timeliness.”

Uranus didn’t recognize any of the voices—he didn’t recognize where he was, either, floating in a featureless void. Was he supposed to be somewhere right now?"They were as complicit as you when they allowed it to happen."
Or; Uranus is stuck in a dead-end town after graduating college, dealing with massive art block, and frustrated with the general state of his life. And then everything changes.

Before long he was drifting in that half-asleep space, immersed in daydreams where he wasn’t alone, where he had everything he’d ever wanted, where nothing ever hurt him like the waking pain did.
And then—
A sudden feeling woke in the wrist joint of his wings, right where the most obvious break sat. It still looked undeniably wrong, the joint bare of feathers and with a visible knot like an asteroid shoved under the skin. It was where the familiar, grinding ache that promised a bad day started.

X's mouth twitched up in one corner.
He was already close enough if Uranus lifted a hand he could have touched him. He wanted to more than he’d ever admit to anyone.

"No." His teeth ground together. "I'm not okay." No matter what, he still felt wrong. He'd only ever known a Solar System with all of the other planets. How was he just supposed to… live without them? And the Sun—well, the Sun had looked despondent enough that Earth wanted to give him a moment before he tried to talk to him.
And he was going to talk to him.
Or; With the rest of the planets gone, Earth has a chance to speak to the Sun.

He groaned as the sound of his name pierced through his repetitive half-dreams of picking up his phone only to realize he’d never actually touched it. “No,” he muttered thickly, his mouth weirdly dry. “Sleep.”
Saturn gave a familiar delighted laugh as the mattress dipped beside him.
“Oh, I think you’ll want to wake up, darling,” he crooned, voice as delighted as his laugh had been. “Don’t you remember what you wanted today?” Uranus frowned into the pillow as his sluggish thoughts swirled, struggling through the haze until they all snapped into place at once and he remembered exactly what Saturn meant.

“So I think it’s time we give Uranus something else to focus on,” he crooned, dropping his scowl in exchange for an excited grin. He reached out for Jupiter’s tie, winding it around his wrist a second time and using the shorter length to yank him closer, close enough to feel the warmth of his breath puffing against his lips. “Don’t you agree, darling? It could be so fun.”
“And how are we going to give him this something else?”

Or; Less morally sound Jupiturn really don't want to have Erebus manipulating Uranus into helping him. Because they don't want Erebus to return. Somehow the best option is to instead exploit Uranus's crush on them. This does not end well (or it actually does, just not how it was intended).
