“I think we should make a pact. If we are both single when you turn 30, we should get married.” Alex says it so casually, like he’s deciding what to have for dinner tonight.
“Alex, are you mad?”
“I’m serious Hen. Why not? Come on, we already live together. We are best friends. You know everything about me, you know what you’re getting into. It’s perfect.” Alex tries to justify.
“Well, first starters, you are straight. And I am very much not female. What exactly would your plan be? Shall we have an open relationship?” Henry is only joking, trying to poke holes in Alex’s harebrained idea.
“No, of course not.”
“Alex” Henry grumbles. “Not to be crass, but… I was not intending to be celibate at 30.” His tone turns more serious, almost accusatory. “Would you have sex with me if we got married?”
“No?” It’s more of a question then a statement.
Or… Alex and Henry are best friends, Alex is straight, Henry is gay, and neither have any interest in a relationship. But Alex’s drunken ramblings may change everything between them, and help Alex learn a lot about himself.

Charlie Spring thinks he’s well into recovery. He’s managing both his OCD and anorexia well, and thriving in university. He and Nick are going strong. His life is better than it has ever been — and he means that.
That is, except for the fatigue, brain fog, stomach pain, and the way Charlie is losing weight even though he’s eating consistently and following his meal plan. When a routine blood test threatens to upend his life, leading to new struggles with his health and his eating disorder, he decides to shoulder the burden alone and keep it secret from his family, friends, and his boyfriend.
He doesn’t really understand what coeliac disease is — but there’s no reason to bring Nick down with him. Not again.
***Nick Nelson knows that something is wrong with his boyfriend. If only he knew what.
