Summary
Dan has, over the years, cultivated a pretty strong stance on the matter of marriage. It's a social construct, it puts too many expectations on a relationship, it makes him feel trapped, it doesn't actually mean anything, and he does not need a flimsy paper to prove to somebody that he loves Phil. It's the epitome of everything he hates in society.
Oh, and this weird pile of feelings in the back of his brain that has been rapidly growing in size as of recent? Don't even worry about it.

Summary
He begrudgingly follows Dan to the window and it's just- it's beautiful.
Everything is covered in a thick layer of white, shiny powder that reflects light off of its surface to make some of the flakes catch it and look as if glitter has fallen from the sky. The snowy layers are completely untouched and smooth, hiding all of the trees and other things in their garden beneath them, only their vague shapes visible. It looks like the entire garden has fallen asleep and has been tucked in with a big, white blanket – the layers bear no marks of any signs of life interfering with its peaceful slumber.
Phil wakes up with a raging migraine. There's something up with Dan. They have a snowball fight about it.

God knows it’s the longest, most quiet minute Jayce has ever experienced. Eventually, Viktor clears his throat. “Were you…Were you serious? About me joining you for Christmas?”
It's so quiet that Jayce almost misses it.
At some point, he also reminds himself to inhale. “Of course!” he breathes. “Viktor, I, I don’t want you to be here by yourself.”
A faint frown tightens Viktor’s brow again, deeper than the last, but it’s gone as soon as it appears. He sighs and nods, almost to himself. “Thank you, I…I will take you up on that offer. If that’s okay, of course, with your family.”

College!AU - Jayce realises that Viktor will be spending the Christmas alone at the university. He invites him to spend it with the Talis family, instead. Apparently, the word "partner" can have all kinds of meanings.
