Summary
And Carlton—Carlton is the perfect stand-in, Will thinks. Or at least as close as he can get without the real thing. He has it all—the black curls, the brown doe eyes framed by long lashes, the porcelain skin, even the dusting of freckles across the bridge of his nose. The affinity for ugly windbreakers. The Reeboks. And sometimes, if Will closes his eyes, he can convince himself that it’s really—that it’s him. Almost. Almost, because he knows nothing could ever replace the real thing. Not ever.
or
mike shows up on will’s doorstep in his rain-soaked work suit five years later and knocks will’s world off its axis.

or
Seven nights in which Mike and Will have to sleep in the same bed, even though they’re barely friends anymore.

Summary
“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Summary
At first, Mike was unsure how to approach him when he got like this. But they’ve been living together for months now, never further than five feet apart in their dorm beds, so Mike’s learned what works and what doesn’t.
It works when he wakes Will like this, with gentle hands and words, telling him he’s safe. It works when he climbs into Will’s warm bed, turning him on his side and curling up against his back, an arm over his waist and his cheek pressed against his shoulder. They lie together like that until Will’s hiccupping gasps soften into steady breaths, until Mike feels him go limp in his arms and he knows he’s fallen back asleep. It always works.
or: Will has nightmares and Mike is the only one who can console him. Not even Will's boyfriend can. Mike takes great pride in this fact.

Summary
There’s something wrong with Will.
It started three weeks ago, almost four. Will had woken from some sort of nightmare and, instead of seeking comfort in Mike the way he usually would, he’d rolled out a sleeping bag from the closet and chosen to sleep on the floor.
No one believes Mike, except for Joyce. But even she doesn’t understand the full extent to which something is wrong with Will.
Mike understands, though. Mike has been paying attention.

Summary
“Since when do you smoke?”
The words hit Mike like a wall. He sucked in a breath too fast, coughing as the smoke caught in his throat. He bent forward, hand over his mouth, sputtering.
“Shit,” he muttered, his voice coming out low and rough as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
He looked up slowly, and the boy standing in front of him was a version of Will that Mike had not yet gotten used to.
Jesus, when did he start smoking? It felt like a lifetime ago. As he thought about it further, a small realization hit him.
He started smoking the night that Will left for California.
Or
Will moves back from California, and when he and Mike end up living together, they realize how much they’ve both changed, and must figure out how to navigate the tension, awkwardness, and unspoken feelings between them.

“Okay come on guys drop it.”
Perfect, angelic Mike. He knew he loved him for a reason. He’s the best. Will was correct when he decided his favorite in kindergarten. He looks so handsome today.
“Obviously if we were gay I’d be everyone's type. Right Will?"
Nevermind. He hates Mikes. He’s never loved him. All this time he's been wrong. And his hair looks stupid today. Jesus Christ, what is wrong with his friends?

It hurt to breathe. It hurt to think. He couldn’t clear his thoughts as he stumbled to the family computer, pulling up a tab on google and frantically typing the name into the search bar.
The words Technoblade Watson stared back at him, the little black bar at the end of the letters blinking slowly, mocking him.
Why, of all people, did it have to be Technoblade?

Summary
It's the end of the world. Fire and flood. Tsunami and tornado. Blister and blizzard.
Two boys, hands clutched onto one another and tears in their widened eyes, escape up into the splitting sky - bidding farewell to their fallen planet for one, last time.
-
Tommy and Ranboo have spent years up in space together, living alone on an - arguably eerie - spacecraft. But it's good. It's fine. They have their coffee and flowers, they have their friendship and books. They have everything that they could have ever wanted. It's just life.
"Ranboo," He murmured, fingers gripping onto a gloved hand. "I'm gonna have a nap. You'll wake me in an hour, right, big man? Set my alarm for me, the one- the one that screeches, yeah?"
There wasn't an outright response, just the hum of a drifting spaceship and the croak of a ventilator, but Tommy knew that Ranboo was listening. He always was.
