For a horrible, fleeting moment, Katsuki considers shrugging it off. Trying for nonchalance, apathy. But Izuku’s too smart for that, deserves better than that. He’d see through it. Or worse, his face would crumple and he’d back off. And Katsuki has never felt more like he’s being tenderly urged to pieces, layer by layer, by the light pressure of Izuku looking at him with scant centimeters between them. So he tells the truth, because the truth is the only thing he knows, the only thing he can trust about himself and all of his inconceivable wants.
“Yeah,” he rasps, “I’m happy.”

“No shitty extras around now.”
He watched out of the corner of his eye as Izuku slid off the counter, leaving behind his smoothie and molded himself to Katsuki’s front, inhaling before letting out a slow delicious content hum.
“Thank you, Kacchan.”
