Summary
First, he screws up his Star Wars joke and probably loses Wrench's respect forever (or until the next time Wrench remembers he has the collector's edition of the Alien movies at his house.) Then, some asshole in a suit rolls up on the game shop and threatens to kill everyone—as if that wasn't the reason Marcus told him a fake location in the first place. And as if that wasn't enough, when he's up on this rickety scaffolding outside of the dam, doing his best to get information on this dude Anton while dodging bullets from his supposed ally, he gets tazed and drugged by some Bratva he didn't catch in time.
He can't catch a break.

Summary
The article gets passed around Vigilante fansites, like most articles involving mysterious acts of violence, but this one is different. Probably a copycat, because the Vigilante killed people (often enough that true crime fans had to remind each other that he was a known serial killer) but he didn’t usually go that far. If he was moving to arson now, everyone would know.
Probably a copycat, the message boards agree when a month goes by without any other incidents in that city. The country’s full of them. And the Vigilante wouldn’t blow up a sports bar without good reason.

Summary
Whenever Robby enters the trauma room Dennis is in, he straightens his shoulders and lets his eyes drop to the nylon tiles. He only ever looks up when he is sure the older man is busy inspecting something else, like doctors are supposed to, like their job is to save lives and not stare down their colleagues. Sometimes, Robby catches him in the act, and it sends something straight from his gut to somewhere lower. Usually, they hold that eye contact for a few seconds, not moving or saying anything. He feels like he is on trial, seen and evaluated by something greater than himself. There is no air inflating or deflating his lungs when this happens. It feels like pain, feels like salvation. The momentary bliss of being the sole focus of his God after yearning for it all day. As if his prayers have been heard.
Then Robby blinks and looks away, so Dennis can breathe again.
Dennis stops Robby from going on his sabbatical. Things get complicated.
