Hours, in fact.
Sometimes the numbers shake and pulse and sometimes they cry, sometimes they scream and swell over the margins. Sometimes they laugh. Sometimes Helly laughs when she sees them; sometimes her eyes well up and she’s frozen in fear sitting at her desk as the digits move, which is really fucking weird.
Everything about the severed floor is weird.
Especially the woman running it.
