At the Shambali Monastery, it is customary for everyone to lend a hand. Human residents and Omnics work together, and tasks are distributed fairly. Unfortunately, this gives you and Ramattra a headache, because what are you - the monastery's cook - supposed to do with a grumpy Ravager as your kitchen assistant?

"I am not without my faults." When you catch up with Ramattra, his voice is less cold than before. You feel a little sorry for calling him arrogant - it's not like he chose kitchen duty. And to be honest, he'd probably be better off in the archives! "But I think it's an exaggeration to call me arrogant."
"We all have to work on ourselves a lot," you agree. "And we have to do things we don't like. But let's be honest -" You give him a sideways glance, which he deftly ignores. "Sometimes you think you're better than the rest of us, don't you?"
"I-" At first he seems to miss the soft, playful undertone in your voice, but then he relents. "Like I said, I'm not without my faults."

Hosea took another drink of his beer next to him, eyes cast across the lake and Arthur followed, watching the early evening insects skit across the surface. Just waiting to be eaten by the swirls of fish flitting through the waters below them.
Hosea broke the silence, “You seem...Happier recently.”
Arthur didn’t know how to respond for a brief moment, so he stumbled over a couple of vowels before Hosea’s laugh was settling him and he said slowly, “I suppose I am? Nothing much though.”
Hosea’s eyes didn’t leave the rhythmic lapping of the lake against the dock, but the way his mouth curled, Arthur knew that he was about to be perhaps a bit too smart.

His feelings however were mostly summed up in his head whenever he laid eyes on Charles as, big handsome strong kind caring, and then maybe a smattering of, dangerous killer ruthless criminal. But, none of those latter things were ever purported to be negative, just a simple fact of how they lived.
It wasn’t new at all to look at a man and feel like something was pulling him deep in the gut. Usually it was pretty, almost dainty men he’d catch out the corner of his eye while he was drinking in a saloon. Once or twice those looks had led into alleys and Arthur had, for the most part, never encountered any sort of violence in those encounters. Luckily. But they often felt...Off.

"We are in over our head here, gentlemen." Chief of Police Paul Tillman is not happy to admit. Neither Geoffrey nor Jonathan are happy to be there either, but they will have to work together if they want to get to the bottom of this.

A Criminal Investigation story that takes place in the aftermath of the game's events (bad ending). This story is pretty dark, but I really enjoyed writing it. It is also part of my NaNoWriMo project for 2018, so it is already finished and just needs some polishing to be posted (along with other two pieces I'm posting atm and a few more to come).The title comes from the LP song Muddy Waters. You should all listen to it because it is AMAZING.

Selina watches them all the time.
She discovers the adoration Ivy exudes in regard to Harley is no longer friendly way before they have their first kiss. She notices, too, that Harley’s messages to a certain green haired monster go unanswered for longer periods of time, and that visits down to the circus are now pretty much nonexistent.
It’s obvious - so obvious that the affection they share so shamelessly causes a bubble in Selina’s stomach she can’t quite describe.
(Or, the time in which Pamela Isley and Harleen Quinzel extended their relationship to include the charming Selina Kyle.)
