Summary
Months after the Underground's population has relocated to the Surface, Frisk and Sans discover a lonely straggler calling himself Doctor W.D. Gaster still wandering the abandoned town of Snowdin. As crazy as war is however, it gets a little bit crazier when he meets a certain prodgious skeleton by the name of Gaster. The friendship is rocky, their surroundings even rockier. And a whole knew wrench is thrown in the works when a human emerges with enough control of their Determination to meddle with time.
(This fic expands on my Wartime headcanon for Grillby in a previous fic I've written called "Phantom Pains". You definitely don't need to read that one first to understand this one. Summary
Even to this day he isn’t really sure how it is that he landed the job of being a bartender in Tenna’s Green Room. Supposedly Tenna had multiple people try their hand at it and… it was not very good. The Zappers would serve the most diluted alcohol known to men, while the Shadowguys went too overboard with it. Apparently there was a past incident that made Tenna ban the Pippins from touching alcohol. So in what Ramb now strongly believes was a desperate decision, Tenna appointed him as the bartender, despite Ramb admitting he has never done such a thing before. Funny, he is actually pretty good at it.
Or maybe Tenna doesn’t want to look for a new bartender.

Knock Out smiles. A challenge glitters, in his optics. He wipes the spilled energon off of Wheeljack and tosses aside the rag with a haughty sigh.

To achieve maximum performance, it opts to optimize its energy usage. A more efficient source of biofuel may exist—but V1 needs a means to extract it. A particular peripheral used by Mindflayers seems promising.
