He doesn't say it urgently, like he's trying to stop her. Ena stood on the edge of the roof atop their apartment building. By her feet, there were one, two, one hundred burnt out cigarettes that covered the ledge in ash. Ena's hair blew in the wind and her breath stunk of smoke. She looked back at her little brother.
"Why are you up here?" She asked him instead.
He didn't break eye contact. He stared and stared at her before picking up one of the only unlit cigarettes by Ena's feet and lit it with the lighter he pulled out of his pocket. He then joined her, and stood on the ledge.
"Go away, Akito."
"You're going to jump, aren't you?"

His eyelids feel heavy and he stifles a yawn while tapping the door with the back of his hand and turning around to start walking towards the window. Almost done.

When pilot Marsh got ready for his shift at the space- and air force facility in Nevada he didn't exactly expect the night to end up with him being the unintentional spokesperson for humanity. Especially when he was trying to communicate with this creature that killed without moving a finger.
Fucking Craig and his theory that aliens just looked like DreamWorks guys fishing from the moon. Because really, this alien just looked like a man.

holy fucking WOW this is one of the coolest things I've ever read. nothing I say here will do this fic justice, but I can try.
I was irrevocably stunned by the descriptions of the sex scene, definitely one of THE coolest parts about this fic. it left me out of breath, somehow, and it almost felt like I was there, in Stan's body, experiencing what he was feeling. however, that feeling was not confined to just that one scene, the WHOLE story was incredibly engaging to read. The scene where they're on the moon, and Stan looks back to see the figure to which Kyle has taken form as, it made my heart drop and I was just as terrified as I think Stan felt in the moment. its insane how well the author is at being able to transfer you into what they are writing, and by the time I got to the final chapter, I didn't want it to end at all.
this fic has a crazy cool plot that seems pretty straight-forward in concept at first, and in a way, it is, but it's so much more than what you could expect, at least in my opinion. The contrast of the cozy, innocent scenes of Kyle discovering things with Stan for the first time, to the scenes that really show just how otherworldly and incomprehensible Kyle can be ,,, its just such an enjoyable read. I'm definitely rambling and repeating myself but UGH wow I can't even fully explain the feeling this story left me with.

Kageyama blinks once before a grin of his own spreads over his face. Shouyou’s breath halts in his lungs at the sight, and he wills for time to stop, just so that he can drink it in. He sees it sometimes when they’re playing - Kageyama’s fierce smile when they pull a combo off just right, when they show their opponents how possible the impossible can really be. But then there’s another serve, another rally, and the moment is gone.
'Shame,' Shouyou thinks to himself, as he lets his eyes roam over Kageyama’s stupidly happy face, taking in the creases that are from joy rather than frowning for a change. 'It’s a really nice smile.'
