Chi Cheng, finally fighting through the lump in his throat, sucks in a sharp breath, and his chest aches so fiercely he wonders for a moment if he's dying, if witnessing what he's done to Wu Suowei—what they've done to each other—is enough to kill him right then and there.
His hands latch onto Wu Suowei's face before he can stop himself, brutally gripping his jaw and the nape of his neck. It's too rough for what Chi Cheng is trying to convey, but he's never been good at being gentle.
"Never," he demands, dark eyes burning into Wu Suowei's tearful ones, "think that you are anything less than everything to me. And if I ever make you feel like I don't love you, you fucking tell me. Do you understand?"

“I choose what suits the hour.” Akutagawa doesn’t look away from the dark sidewalk. “And the company.”
The umbrella jerks with how hard Atsushi nearly trips over a puddle. He swallows, keeps his hands steady on the handle. The word company sticks with him, warm and fluttering where it shouldn’t.

atsushi takes a night job at a tea shop and learns about timing, patience, and how the leaves open when treated properly. somewhere along the way, the work becomes something he looks forward to. so does the regular who keeps coming in near closing.

Togame couldn’t help the warmth that festered in his chest. Cherry blossoms in full bloom, growing, taking hold of his heart that no longer felt like his own.
These feelings he held for Sakura were completely irrational, hopeless and pointless, the kind he’d probably look back on someday and laugh at. But perhaps, he rationalized to himself, if they made his whole world shine brighter, his heart light in his chest — it would be okay if he held onto these feelings for a little while longer.
OR/// The one where Togame falls first and harder, he doubts he has any real chance with someone as amazing as Sakura, but he'll be damned if he doesn't try his best anyway.

Summary
There’s no imminent war on the horizon. Shishitoren and Furin have become allies. Overall, life has gone back to normal and being on different turfs signifies that both gangs don’t have to interact all that often, if at all. So Sakura had no excuse to come to Togame, same as Togame didn’t have any excuse to invite Sakura to the festival that day.
But that’s the whole point, isn’t it? They don’t need excuses, because Togame said they were friends and friends can hang out and do stuff together without an ulterior motive.
It's as simple as that.

or; Togame realizes that he and Sakura are friends, but not as close as they could be. After spending more and more time together, he also comes to the conclusion that whatever feelings Sakura provokes in him, he wants to experience it more.

Summary
It can’t end like this. Atsushi has mere minutes left, maybe less, and he can’t die listening to Akutagwa’s scolding and insults. Comfort has never come easily to Akutagwa, but he has to try. Atsushi deserves that much, at least.
But Akutagawa can’t think of what to say. He can’t tell Atsushi that it’s fine, that he’ll be okay, or any of those trite, hollow reassurances. It’s not okay, and perhaps it never will be again — not without Atsushi.
In his last moments, bloody and painful though they are, Atsushi deserves better than lies. So Akutagawa instead settles on the deepest truth he knows. Perhaps, here and now, the only truth.
“You can’t die, you useless overgrown cat,” Akutagawa snarls, half-choking on a sob. “I love you, so you can’t die. Not when I love you.”
Thinking Atsushi is dying in his arms, Akutagawa confesses his love, knowing he’ll never have another chance.
But of course Atsushi, always the thorn in Akutagawa’s side, does something wholly unexpected.
He survives.

They had enough problems as it was, and sometimes he felt like he was holding them all together by a single remaining thread. If Sakura managed to cause some sort of turmoil that severed that thread, all of Jo's work to this point would have been for nothing. Big-ego-loud-talking Sakura was going to have hell to pay if that happened.
He took in a deep, frustrated breath that he tried to keep quiet enough to not be overheard, then turned to the rest of the guys who had been hanging around and none-too-subtly listening. "Someone show him where the jackets are," he ordered reluctantly.-
A couple of the guys bring a stranger back to Shishitoren's base one day. He's really strong, they say: they saw him fight and thought he might be suited for their group.
Jo has serious reservations because Sakura Haruka seems like trouble, but he joins them anyway. And he turns out to be trouble, alright. Just not in the way Jo had expected at all.
