    Now, this was great for Peter Parker. More than great! It meant that Peter would have something to put on his college applications, and potentially a letter of recommendation, and it meant he would have an actual challenge for once in his life.

    This development, however, was not great for Spider-man. Spider-man was being hunted down by the Avengers, which Mr. Stark happened to be a part of. And Peter Parker happened to be Spider-man.

    OR: Peter Parker is interining at Stark industries. The spider that bit Peter had a few more effects than it does in canon, including but not limited to: fangs, way worse instincts, and an annoyingly sentient spidey sense

    The world comes to a halting stop when Peter exits his jump, half a rotation short, angle wrong, and crashes to the cold, freezing ice.

    He’s shaking, but not because it’s cold. The frigid temperatures are biting his nose and piercing through his bones. He doesn’t feel it, though. Doesn’t feel anything. No sharp pain down his knee or ankle. No sound of snapping bones or popped ligaments. He’s numb.

    “I’m sorry… Ben. I’m sorry.”

    I didn’t want to worry you, May had told him over the phone, It happened so fast. There was nothing we could do. He’s gone.
    Gone.

    Ben Parker, Peter’s uncle, and only living blood relative was gone.

    After the death of Ben Parker, Peter gives up on his dream of being a competitive figure skater. That is, until Harry Osborn, his long time idol shows up at his front door to coach him. (Inspired by Yuri on Ice).
