Chapter Text
Sunday afternoons are your favorite.
You love your bed. So much. You love how perfectly placed it is in your room so the window doesn't send sunlight directly into your face. You love your pillows. You love the stuffed dinosaur you used to cuddle with every night.
The same dinosaur now sits beside your desk, and you're cuddling with something else.
Suga is leaning against the headboard, balancing his laptop on his knees and what little space is left on his thighs. He types away while going through a stack of already graded assignments, entering scores and double checking that each student's online grades are up to date.
His laptop is balanced a bit precariously, but that's because of you. You were fine with him working, but you simply could not be left out of the activity. Your knees are planted on either side of his hips, your head on his upper chest and your arms fastened securely around his ribs.
Occasionally, your boyfriend gently rubs your back, his cheek resting against the side of your head as he continues working.
The sun isn't quite done with its morning ascent, even now that you're nearing 1:00 pm. The bright summer sunlight is a nice reminder that summer break is almost here, and then you won't have to end weekend visits by walking away from the train station by yourself.
You hum a sigh, not bothering to move your face, so the sound vibrates through the slightly wrinkled t-shirt Suga is wearing. You adjust so your head is on his shoulder, and without moving you can press loving (not at all teasing) kisses to the bottom of his neck.
“Are you almost done?” You ask between kisses, lips brushing against his skin.
Suga leans his head back and sighs to hide the tremor that goes through him at your touch, almost removing your access. Almost. “I'll be done soon, yeah. I just have like 10 more assignments to enter, I promise.”
You tilt your head. “Okay,” you breathe, mumbling your words against the hollow of his throat. Although he does his best to hide it, his breathing shudders at the proximity of your mouth to the sensitive spot above his collar bone. You are such a tease.
“I need water, I'm thirsty.” You sit up, air rushing in to fill the space between you and making Suga fight off a shiver at the sudden cold against his chest.
You are simultaneously the best and worst distraction Sugawara can think of.
Before you can move off of his lap, he hooks an arm around your waist, using the other to set down his graded papers. Technically, he could do this on the bullet train ride home tonight, the wifi was just spotty and it tended to be a little annoying. But it was a 3 hour ride, and he only has 10 more to enter.
“Hm?” You tilt your head at him, looking in his eyes now that you've got enough space to do so.
Suga grins. “You need water? Let's go get water.” He moves his laptop aside and swings his legs off of the side of the bed. Your arms come from around his ribs to around his neck, and Sugs tugs on your knees, prompting you to wrap your legs around him.
“Really?” You ask, smirking at him.
“Yep. You're wasting time. Water is in the kitchen. Let's go.” He holds your waist firm, and you shake your head, giggling.
You hook your feet behind his back, and Suga stands up, taking you with him. He goes to the kitchen and gets you a glass of water, but doesn't let you drink it. Instead he returns to your bedroom, and sets it in the nightstand, moving his laptop and assignments and tossing you back down on the bed before lying down beside you.
“Hey, don't you need to finish those?”
“I'll finish them later.” He pulls you closer by your hips and props himself up on one elbow to lean over you. He presses a long, sweet kiss to your lips. “When you aren't distracting me.”
You laugh, throwing your arms back around his neck as he kisses you again.
You love your boyfriend. You really do. Sometimes, though, it's just far too easy to get what you want.
