Summary
While the Avengers plot their Time Heist, Tony is presented with a new and totally unheard of alternative. Looking at time travel from a different perspective, Tony Stark finds himself with the opportunity to do more than just reverse the Snap. Instead, he has the chance to stop Thanos altogether, effectively erasing all the destruction wrought by the Titan before it ever begins. This mission is one Tony must make on his own, desperate to save the future without doing too much to alter the past. Ultimately, Tony finds himself in a world he doesn’t know, during uncertain times, and facing an old enemy who just might not be such an ‘enemy’ after all, with a whole new Endgame in sight.

What if Loki was enamoured with Earth and had a secret life on Midgard, including an entire lineage of secret identities where everyone on the family tree was a version of themself? One alias in particular decides that MIT would be the perfect place for her to experiment with attending Midgardian college, and Columbia would be a fantastic choice for a PhD.
Tony would readily admit to the fact that he had been in love with Lois Frederickson for almost the entirety of the time he had known her, were it not that he was certain she did not return his feelings.

Summary
In this timeline, Loki finds out the secret of his heritage long before Thor's coronation. Tensions and frustrations lead Frigga to suggest Loki take a vacation for a few years, and he decides that Midgard would be the perfect place to lay low from expectations. The last thing Loki expects is to find herself falling in love with someone she can't help but find familiar.
I'm choosing not to use archive warnings because I am still writing this and I do not know what might apply. The only warnings that ever apply to my fic are for character deaths and violence, but I do not think I will go there with this one.

And then he didn't. At first it was slow, a secret here, a lie there, but things quickly started to add up. Tony was never particularly good at managing his anger. He usually took it out on himself. But after laying his life on the line again and again for the people he thought he trusted, something in him snapped. SHIELD would fall. The Avengers would fall. And he knew just who to go to for help.

Post Winter Soldier but pre Ultron, I haven't seen Iron Man 2 or 3 so I'm just not gonna touch on them at all. Thor: TDW didn't happen (cause fuck that movie), and Loki escaped Asgard after Avengers. -
