Cloud strife had always been an outsider to his hometown. When he did leave, he fought out what it meant to work hard for his dreams although soon enough, he always caught on that dreams weren’t for him. His existence was one of suffering for others and himself, he had believed for a long time ago. Ever since he stepped foot in Midgar a few weeks ago, he kept his affairs private enough for everyone to ignore him until the Turks fought with him in the middle of the sector 7 plaza. Once again, he leaves never to be seen again but can nobody really penetrate inside the cold, aloof exterior that Cloud has always put on for appearances? Or will he learn that there’s more to himself than just being weak?
What will he do when his past approaches, starts to haunt him again? When everything he wanted to get away from steps back into his life? And what does that mean for the florist, who he has slowly loosened his guard around? But there were other things too, no extra colours or logos, he was all black, the only real oddity was that he was missing a shoulder guard. Perhaps it was more odd that it's his only piece of armour. The whole thing seemed, manufactured somehow, like a uniform. His outfit would be best described as practical but that still felt wrong. Batman knew practical, he knew efficient, he knew function, just ask his utility belt, but he still had ears on his cowl. Batman was a symbol. This man was nothing.

Unbeknownst to him, he agreed to join a group of rebels who fight against Shin-ra's questionable business practices which may or may not include slavery of anyone possessing human blood. This wasn't really a big deal for many as well, humans were banished by the Cetran Council for creating homunculi.
Homunculi themselves became rare as the humans that created them were executed and the ones that existed had no sentience, and the ones which perished possessed no intelligence.
A being created with alchemy carrying a soulmate mark given to him by Gaia.
...would they see him as nothing more than an abomination too?
