Summary
Despite having been engaged since childhood with the goal of uniting their kingdoms, princes Sonic and Shadow are not exactly in love. Sonic is a free spirit with little attachment to formalities, while Shadow has been raised under strict royal rules, being the living voice of reason. Although the two share a sort of “mutual respect” (and perhaps something deeper hidden between their words), neither seems really willing to seal their fate with a ring.
