Summary
This story is a direct sequel to Us Against The World. If you haven't read that story, this one will make absolutely no sense. Ren and Morgana, along with their new friends, have miraculously defeated Nyx. Unfortunately, this was only the first hurdle, as now, they have to fight the monster who took everything from them: Yaldabaoth. With everything once again on the line, will they be able to overcome this seemingly impossible challenge? Or will they suffer the same fate as last time? Only time will tell.

A chatfic fanfic based around one simple thing: time loops, temporal resest and those who remember them being put in a single chat due to time breaking appart bwcause of too many resets having been done and time needing to gather heroes to help fix everything, aka what happens when an idea evolves in my head from absorbing parts of other ideas i had while i wish to write a story but dont have any idea how to update any of my current stories and so this one was born, just going to do my usual "stay creative as creativity is what makes life worth living" thing and let you all judge this attempt at writting a chatfic myself, not all the ideas i add here will have been though of on my own as i will ask for help from some trusted people on discord for ideas with this story, will put credit for them whenever i first start using an idea that came from them at the end of each chapter.

Summary
After returning home to Inaba and discovering that a beloved group of older friends are all Persona users, Ren Amamiya has spent several months reconnecting with both them and a familiar face in Shiho Suzui. But as much as he loves the Investigation Team, Ren has an unbreakable and irreplaceable bond with the Phantom Thieves. And he has been looking forward to reuniting with them for their summer vacation.
Unfortunately, a looming threat involving a new form of the Metaverse has decided to rudely interrupt their vacation. Even worse, the transition to the Jails has stripped Ren of his Personas and reduced all of their Personas down to level 1. But the Phantom Thieves have faced overwhelmingly unfavorable odds once before, and they won’t let this stop them from saving the world a second time.
Meanwhile, the Investigation Team is far from thrilled to discover that a new threat to humanity has risen, and that Ren has gotten himself wrapped up in it. They’re even less thrilled to learn that Ren has been chosen to undergo this Fool’s Journey, limiting how much they can help him. But none of Inaba's persona users are content to remain on the sidelines for long, not while Ren and humanity are in danger.

Yaldabaoth kills the phantom thieves, but is defeated when Joker summons Satanael. Just before Joker pulls the trigger, Yaldabaoth offers a deal with 3 conditions.
1. The thieves will be brought back to life.
2. Any memory of Akira will be erased. He'll be unable to reforge his bonds.
3. Joker spares Yaldabaoth. Since Yaldabaoth's power is depleted, he won't re-emerge for a long time.Guilt-ridden over the deaths of his friends, Joker accepts the deal, bringing them back, but erasing the world's memory of him in return.
8 years later, Yaldabaoth is approaching full power and Akira learns that his impending return has weakened the deal's influence on reality. This means that he can now remind the world of who he is.
Akira, still filled with guilt, now sets off on a journey to reforge his bonds with the thieves and restore their memories of him one by one before their final fight against Yaldabaoth. -

Ren's "Not Phantom Thief related" group chat some how has a 100% chance for some dumb shit to happen in it. Within the first 2 days of the group being made, there's already something happening. So much has happened in his life within the past week: A castle in an alternate world, a floaty ghost man by the name of Arsène, Morgana the talking cat, Kamoshida and meeting his first new friends in Tokyo.
Out of all of them, he wouldn't give up his friends or family for anything. Even if most of them are complete dumbasses, they're his group of dumbasses.
This is a Persona 5 Chatfic following the "Totally capable Phantom Thieves" throughout the year, with dumbasses doing dumbass stuff when it isn't Serious O'Clock.
Whilst this does follow the main storyline of P5, I hope to curve and bend it a little bit and add some herbs and spices here and there. And sometimes snap canon over my thigh.
