Kohane's relationship begins to fall apart, and with it, everything around her comes crashing down and nobody is in any position to fix it, though they try.

Shouldering past the prickle of discomfort at hearing her refer to her father so casually in front of others (a king, how could she, Father would never allow—), Toya rolls the new name over his tongue. “Akito?”

“I want to know how to stop. Liking hi—” Toya cuts off as An and Kohane’s mouths both drop open. “W-what?”

Aoyagi Toya is the third prince of the royal Aoyagi family. He’s had “luxuries” all his life, but the fancy, shiny clothes meant nothing when he had no knowledge of what happened outside his palace—which he was supposed to have control of eventually. He looked up to his father the most, which was unfortunate, considering his father never paid attention to him other than to tell him to stop reading a fiction book because he shouldn’t receive happiness from such “lowly, peasant entertainment unfit for a royal.”
Shiraishi An is the princess and heir to the throne of the royal Shiraishi family. Her family always ensures she has a balance of everything—enjoyment, work, and skills. Along with that, she has ample time to see her friends, especially her personal knight, Shinonome Akito. Her family has showed her the cities all throughout the kingdom and spent quality time with her, strengthening the family relationships.
Aoyagi Toya, after begging and pleading his father for years, ventures into the inner parts of his kingdom (accompanied by knights) and explores different sceneries—the same day Shiraishi Ken takes An to discuss diplomacies in the same city.
