Summary
This takes place shortly after issue #12 of Skybound's Transformers series. The Autobots managed to stop Shockwave's plan of siphoning Earth's energy resources to send to Cybertron. In this brief moment of quiet, Spike tries to fill his day on the Ark while everyone else is working purposefully toward their own necessary goals. He takes a moment and writes in his mother's journal a "basic family update" entry.
Beachcomber comes in and sits next to Spike. Their relationship is slowly building from "rescuer and rescuee" to something more toward genuine friendship. Beachcomber offers ways that Spike could help the Autobots and Spike gives advice about a secret Beachcomber is still holding on to.
Finally, the story ends with Spike and Carly. Their relationship faces its first major challenge as both are going down vastly different paths regarding how they area dealing with their grief, not to mention different college paths. But that's still in the future. What they choose to hold on to is the "now."

Before the battle could drag out an unexpected event was occurring and the resulting chaos following it would not make this a very typical day.

ITS AMAZING. The scene written has no set Transformers Fandom, just my own version.
The great war is over and Optimus Prime and many Autobots return to Cybertron with all they had promised. Many welcomed them home with joy, however some have not. Yet, this was not Optimus' concern, he can deal with the negativity from multiple bots, however only one bot's opinion matters to him above all.
After 4 million years Optimus and Elita One would reunite, yet would all that time away have faded their bond and would Elita accept who Optimus had become?
