300 years after the events of Divided, the Magic Realm is still going strong - but Untamed Sage Áine fears for the future of her branch of magic. Whilst Ethren and Keisha have successors lined up for the next 'cycle' of Sages, Áine still doesn't have a successor and not by choice this time - old age and witches' pallor, a condition where overuse of magic affects the body, makes her worry she may not have much longer left. Desperate for a successor, she gets lucky when sixteen-year-old Morgyn Ember wants to become a dedicated spellcaster. Of course, in desperation, it's easy to miss out on some things that should have been picked up...it's not a case of their capability, it's a case of whether magic is the answer to any of their underlying issues.

The laughter pauses, but Collette knows it would take much more than that to phase Marley. The lizard seems to debate on his words, his tongue poking his right inner cheek as if he's debating on whatever witty remark he could possible fire back at his bantering roommate with. His calm eyes meet Collette's for a moment, and there's a sudden swell of anticipation in Collette's chest. What for, he can't describe, knowing Marley for the ever romantically-elusive guy he is, but there's no way to convey that this is the only time he meant it as a joke.
A short series Marley the lizard and Collette the red deer from Nagabe's series "The Wize Wize Beasts of the Wizarding Wizdoms" where Marley is partially aware of Collette's advances, and vice-versa.

Moving out to Moonwood Mill has been Devon’s best decision yet. Tonight, he was going to go out, meet the people of this town and have fun. He used some black eyeliner and lipstick, and he was satisfied. The sun was still up when Devon arrived and claimed a place for himself at the bar.
A streak of black raced across the lot and materialised into a man with the gaudiest jacket Devon had ever seen. The guy ordered a purple drink and turned around. He briefly made eye contact with Devon before approaching.
“Caleb Vatore, lovely to meet you. I haven’t seen you around before. What’s a charming thing like you doing in lonely Moonwood Mill?”
That’s definitely flirting. This gorgeous man is flirting with him.
“I’m Devon. Ashwood. Pleasure to meet you.” He was absurdly proud his voice didn’t shake.
“I’m sure the pleasure is all mine,” the man practically purred.
