Murdoc wakes up from a nightmare screaming, Russel and Stuart overhear and rush to his side to see what happened.
This is an AU based off of a fic I read on AO3 called “build a band”. It’s supper great and I love the story telling and the wording.
Basically what happened to get to this point was - Murdoc was parked at the shop Stuart was working at, they became friends, stuart gets drunk one night with murdoc and he stumbles across a road and gets hit by a car, giving him his two 8 ball fractures. Stuart’s mom kicks him out and he goes to live with Murdoc in the Winnie. Stuart then invites Russel in the band as their drummer. Russel is hesitant but accept. He lives in his own apartment for a bit until he’s kicked out and he goes to live with murdoc and Stuart. This will be taking place a coupe weeks after Russel had moved into the Winnie with murdoc and Stuart.

Eternal samsara of them circling around together Avon is not destined to pull the trigger. Destiny has nothing to do with it. He is the only Avon who is twisted enough to choose this path. The only Avon who stood in that room on Gauda Prime, looked at Blake across it, and made the one conscious choice the universe had been waiting for.
Is it to save the timeline? Possibly.
Is it because he is, after years of fighting and running and losing everything, simply done chasing this man through eternity? Also possibly.
It is a dark comedy wherein the one universe he became the murderer the universe decides to give them both something they have never had before: an ending that isn't written yet. Now they have to figure out what to do with each other when there is no loop to reset them, no destiny to blame, and no running left to do.
Avon is furious about this. Blake is, against all reason, not surprised at all.

All teenage boys like video games, it’s a universal truth and he’d die on that hill. But Wayne never seemed like much of a teenage boy to him. And it wasn’t until that moment that he’d bothered to think about why. Truthfully, Wayne had always been a bit of a monstrous concept. Not just to Orlando, but to their class, their school, the city. There wasn't much else you could call someone lacking so blatantly in emotional capacity outside of violent aggravation.
But looking at him in the moment, Wayne was walking with the same nonchalance as always, expression almost content. Orlando remembered the way he’d looked that day outside the restaurant with his brother. And looking at him in the moment, he was just as much a teenage boy as him or anyone else.
started as a character study for Orlando, then a study of his friendship with Wayne. Ended up with 5.7K words about the two boys at two times in their lives, being each other's first friend, and contemplating what it means to have a brother.
