Summary
The last thing John Watson had been expecting, well, there were a lot of things not to expect, but it certainly wasn’t Mrs. Hudson pulling up in a bright red sports car speeding as if the devil was chasing her tail down his therapist’s street.
It certainly wasn’t her interrupting his therapy session that wasn’t even beneficial. It wasn’t the helicopter and police car tracking her down, and then the both of them going away at the blink of an eye because Mycroft’s eyes and ears know no bounds.
But the most unbelievable thing is that Mrs. bloody Hudson, had played John and lied right to his face, tying him into a bond he couldn't get out of even if he tried. He made a promise he wasn’t sure he’d ever go through with.
And the lie was supposedly justifiable. The lie was Sherlock Holmes.

Summary
This fanfiction takes place after BBC season 4 of Sherlock Holmes. Mycroft deserves better in my eyes and I want his and Sherlocks relationship to become better. The fanfiction genereally resolves around the idea that Mycroft dosen´t handle the traumatic experience at Sherrinford very well and how Sherlock and John intervenes. Later in the fanfiction a character I have created myself as Lestrade´s niece will enter the picture and become Mycroft´s love interest. For this purpose both Sherlock and Mycroft are written a bit softer than their true characters.

Sherlock hadn't explained much about Moriarty, but it was clear he had a very extensive network. It wasn't illogical to assume he'd given some of his men orders in the event he didn't return. Slowly, hesitantly, he crept towards the edge of the mattress. He felt a bit ridiculous, like a child checking for monsters under the bed, but this had been possibly the worst day of his life, and he just wanted it all to be over with. He moved the last few inches and peeked under the bed.
"I have found my sock." His dead best friend informed him from under the bed. "I told you you had it, Watson."
John did the only logical thing he could do in that situation and promptly fell off his bed.

Sherlock actually informs Watson he's alive before falling off the grid for two years because who needs that kind of angst in their life? -

“Okay,” Will replies, and makes no move to get up.
Mike squints at him, and Will turns away from the street to look back. He offers a grin. Mike squints harder, despite his own lips twitching into a smile.
Mike escapes a celebration party to drown in his own loneliness. Will joins him.
