He finally catches up with what’s happening, and then shortly after that it actually is happening, but by that point Sean is already running his mouth and condescendingly presenting Eduardo with a check for 19,000 dollars and security is ushering Eduardo away, the sharp line of his shoulders leading down into a perfectly straight back.
Eduardo disappears through the double doors.
Mark darts from his chair, suddenly more afraid than he’s ever been in his entire life.
