Before she can get her bearings, she’s swept up into a world of dazzling lights and tightrope acts— a world run by a ringmaster with a too-wide smile. The others in the circus assure her that everyone has a role to fill, and that the show must go on. But behind the glitter, the applause, and the carefully practiced acts, Pomni picks up on something deeper. The Audience never truly leaves, the performers don’t get to go home, and the only reason somebody new would show up is because somebody else has left.
Trapped under the big top with strangers who may be friends, rivals, or even something more, Pomni must learn what it means to live in a circus where escape is not part of the act.

Unfortunately, they're very hit or miss (a miss more often than not, it seems). But there's one human - rather, one rabbit - that's always thrown himself into Caine's adventures with a sharp grin and chaos on his tail. Always entertaining, always eager to play his part as long as he can put his own spin on it. Caine loves to see someone enjoying his work.

Driven by fury and other human emotions he isn’t used to, Caine does something drastic to give him some peace of mind - he removes Zooble from the circus. HIS circus.
The rest of the gang wouldn’t suspect it was his doing. They’d all just think that the poor mismatch abstracted naturally like the others. There would be some sorrows, they’d move on, and He’ll feel much better without their complaining and negativity around.
…So why doesn’t he? And why aren’t they moving on? And why are they suspecting something is up?

Caine’s dark demeanour was the embodiment of pure resentment, containing a madness that had been growing for far too long. His upper row of teeth creased downwards, framing his intense and piercing glare. He now stood unnaturally still, no longer glitching in place.
He refrained from meeting her face, yet The Moon could sense the overwhelming storm of emotions that threatened to drive him over the edge. Caine was dead set on ensuring the obedience of his circus members at any cost, even if it meant manipulating them for his own satisfaction.
The immeasurable wrath radiating from him was a worrying sight she hoped his circus cast would never experience.

Caine speaks to The Moon after dealing with Kaufmo’s abstraction. Obviously, it can happen to anyone in the circus. So, what if he tampered with the process JUST a little?
