At the start, there wasn’t a reason to hide his race. Nowadays, Chiron isn’t object to the leg the lengths he goes to hide his heritage; it’d be nice if the world had constructed itself to better accommodate his solution though.

Chiron’s disguise is a wheelchair, accessibility in America isn’t bad but it could definitely be better. So he’s accommodated, both for himself and his campers. There’s still problems outside of camp though.
