Vault 13 was one of many Vaults crafted with a distinct purpose but there were other tasks that it was given.
A secondary goal that it was also given last minute by one of the staff of Vault-Tec, introduction of the genetically modified humans spliced with animal DNA that they had been developing to ensure that their produce was good for health. Thus, they became the tools of the Vault Dwellers decked out in black gold trimmed Vault-Tec suits to signify their place in the hierarchy. Nicknamed VaultMeats or VMs for short.
These test subjects had long since been bred to perfection and with them, Vault 13 had many years of affluent living that almost came close to the joys when the Americas bloomed in full force. But the control experiment came regardless as their water purifiers ran out and thus, instead of sending one of their pure humans out into the wasteland above that could pose a danger to them, one of these VM was selected, a Human-Heifer hybrid.
And along her journey, she shall meet other people who were used for the glory of humanity being transformed into things that have irrevocably ruined their lives and pIned them for years to come.
