Summary
Aerith Gainsborough has died many times in many timelines. With every kill, Jenova wears a different face and manipulates different puppets. A game of multi-dimensional chess is underway, forcing this physical manifestation of Holy to sacrifice herself in order to split timelines and move her pieces between them.
Cloud Strife is a broken man with a tenuous grip on reality. Cut off by friends and driven by obsession, he no longer knows who he is, let alone what he's fighting for.
Sephiroth is an experiment and will never be anything more. He isn't human, and the whispers of a creature tucked away in Nibelheim only underscore this reality. The Silver Sword does whatever he's told, and pushing him into using free will is easier said than done.
Genesis Rhapsodos and Angeal Hewley are willing to throw everything away for him, to cut ties with Shinra in support of the man who saved their lives.
Zack Fair is a SOLDIER First Class and a hero in the making. Steadfast and determined, he's the unstoppable force to anyone's immovable object, and maybe the key to tying everyone else together.

Absolutely AMAZING fanfic, I binge read this entire thing in one sitting and I don't regret it at all
Towards the end I started getting worried that it was abandoned and hadn't updated since like 2015 or smth, because most FF7 fanfics I've read are 5-10 years old or the author abandoned it, so it was a relief to see that it was last updated about a month ago
Usually I don't particularly enjoy when people add OCs to the plot out of nowhere, but honestly I got really attached to Krono and I think if he died now I would actually just start sobbing, I'm so invested and I need him to RUN AWAY WITH THEM 😭
I'm also really glad the author added Genesis and Angeal, although I didn't expect that Genesis would already have a connection with (presumably) Jenova, so that was an interesting surprise, and I really like how fleshed out his character is despite having only been introduced a few chapters ago
Overall I've absolutely loved this fic so far and I will definitely be dropping everything to read it if/when it updates again, and I honestly might just reread it in a few days too lol

His pulse thrummed loudly in his ears while a representative at the head of the table went on about the quarterly budget, flowery excuses made for the more lavish expenditures in the report.
She was not with him.
He sat there and he could not feel Her no matter how far he reached for Her residual warmth, a stagnant void where She had once taken residence in his head and flowed freely through his veins. The very reason for why his heart still beats was simply gone, leaving him with nothing but disorientation and a slow-broiling rage to fill its place.
His Mother’s voice was not among the buzzing chatter of insects that filled this room.
Sephiroth, who is still under Jenova’s influence and currently not in the best mindset for anything regarding the Planet’s wellbeing, is the one that will have to change fate for the better.
AKA This is a FF7 time travel fix-it, but Jenova is one hell of a drug.
