Jon Snow had made a life for himself beyond The Wall, after he was banished for Queenslaying. A happy life. A life he had always wanted.
And then, one day, he woke up in Winterfell, twenty years ago.
What began as a dream turns into a nightmare as he discovers that something is not content with 'merely' the Long Night being averted, and no matter how many times he falls chasing an unknowable, impossible quest, it refuses to let him stay dead. Once, he followed a woman who dreamed of Breaking the Wheel. Now, the Wheel will Break him.

Robb Stark overthrows the Lannister backed reign of Joffrey Baratheon and takes upon himself the mantle of Lord Protector until a Great Council decides the next king. At Robb's side is a sorcerer and newly appointed lord of Sea Dragon's Point named Lord Bryan Ersae.
This sorcerer is much more, and less, than he appears. He only wishes to learn real magic and help Westeros through the Long Night. But the Long Night has a way of breaking its survivors. Blood magic is a terrible thing, but seemingly salvation to the desperate.
Or simply, a man wakes up in Westeros and decides to learn and teach magic.
The bulk of this story will take place after the Long Night.
