It’s 1973 in San Francisco and Daniel is at the peak of his life. Realistically speaking, since he probably won’t live for that long.
But being hot and honest and cruel can bring you a long way, if you’re okay with dropping some of the morals your mother instilled within you.
It can also lead you right to the vampires, who never had mothers to instill morals in them. Or maybe they did. Daniel had never asked about that.
Or: When the genre is supposed to be horror, but the characters pretend it’s a drug-induced and kinky romcom.
*Armand joins Daniel and Louis for their night at Divisadero Street. What follows are six nights full of desperation and desire between them and the aftermath that is Daniel and Armand in their obsession for each other*

Daniel is tired, fucking exhausted. His body throbs and cracks like he just ran 20 marathons at once; his stomach feels so empty it could probably eat itself alive. It has been a week since Armand turned him, a week since the vampire Armand had disappeared entirely, leaving his fledgling to fend for himself in this new, terrifying world.
The first night was probably the worst of it, the initial bite, the taste of Armand's blood as he drinks it down like a fine syrup, the feeling of it like nothing he’d ever felt before, like his veins were about to pop with how quickly his blood was pulsing.
Watching as Armand retreats, as he turns and leaves him there, curled up on the bloody carpet, withering in pain as his body shuts down on itself. He remembers shouting, screaming, and thrashing for him to return, but Armand doesn't turn back, hesitate, or look over his shoulder.
Bastard.
Or, my rendition of the aftermath of Daniel's turning, his rediscovery of fragments of his past, Armand's inability to let Daniel go, and how their relationship develops following it all.
