He’d personally helped Miss Pauling deposit the body of the last one into an abandoned mine shaft just to make sure the stupid man didn’t come back from the dead. Which led them to this meeting. ”Alright I know it took a lot of waiting! But I had to be absolutely sure that this medic is the one.” Miss Pauling smiled, obviously very proud of herself. ”Ok so I don’t know exactly when they’ll be here, they're on a flight from Chicago right now, they’re all the way from Germany if you can believe that.”

Short story about Pyro having a good day, & making a drawing to show Engie and the team.
Pyro is practically buzzing with glee-- not exactly a rare sight, but certainly odd for this time of day and place. Normally, they only get this excited when a fire is in their nearby vicinity. Engineer is suddenly struck by a pang of panic. Surely he’d have smelled smoke if something had gone wrong outside, right?
“Err, what, uh, what brings you here son? I assume you’re not looking for a chitchat.”
Pyro shakes their head enthusiastically, instead holding up a crumpled sheet of paper, scribbles of all colours and shapes sprawling across the page.

“The what?” Scout missed a beat, but his friend doesn’t seem to mind.
“Barbecue, what the white dads do in America. Because you’re pink, you look like lobster…” Pyro breaks off into a quiet giggle, smiling widely to show off long white canines; gapped teeth; a pink tongue that darts out and wets their lips.

Pyro had never been interested in the idea of a pet. Their line of work didn't exactly promise a good life for one to begin with, but ultimately they preferred bugs over more traditional pets. Insects were smaller, hardier to an extent, and the rest of the team was unlikely to bother them compared to a cat or dog.

When Scout brags to his team that he cannot be caught due to his speed, Sniper takes it upon himself to take his friend down a peg and issues him a challenge-evade his capture for 5 days, and Sniper will do anything the runner wants. Scout accepts the bet-how could he not-but when Sniper's pursuit forces hidden feelings to the surface, how will this effect their relationship both on and off the field?
Sexiness ensues, but no graphic sex...I think. The fic will become E if that happens though.
The other mercs place bets, Spy has a raging headache, and Scout really doesn't know when to shut his mouth. I changed the title because my plan for this fic changed, and also because Scout's a tough little bunny getting hunted by, well, a hunter.
