Summary
The Kranng are a funny creatures. Creating a transdimensional device is nothing but an ordinary Tuesday for them. But for most other creatures, this sort of creation is very out of the ordinary.
Raphael is such a creature. Because after falling into one, he doesn't know where he is and he doesn't know if he'll be able to get back. He wants to go back to his brothers. But he can't.
And all he has is this twisted, broken version of his family to show for it.

After a mission gone wrong 2012 Raphael lands, injured and alone, in the 2007 universe. Their Leo is still away in the jungles of Peru and the death of Raphael's Father is still a fresh memory in his mind. Both parties are grieving and both intend to keep those griefs a secret.

This story was supposed to be about fireworks, where did all of this plot come from?
It was literally going to be less than 3k, but I needed to give Donnie somebody to infodump to who wouldn't either fall asleep or threaten to punch him in the face.
Please suspend your disbelief - I'm not here to write 100k of slow-burn trust-building so the purple one can wax poetic about chemical reactions (but apparently I am here to write almost 26k worth of random stuff before that happens).Mostly written with Bayverse in mind, but there are enough references to other iterations you'd be forgiven for thinking otherwise. Do not turn the reference hunt into a drinking game - it probably won't end well.

He doesn't know what he's doing and he certainly doesn't know how he's supposed to do it, but he will absolutely do something impressive before he lets himself be gunned down by social anxiety.

Summary
The Triceraton Invasion was a marathon of challenge after challenge. Afterwards, the boys and leatherhead are all reacting in their own ways. Leo is reeling from the fate of the world being decided by their actions, Raph is feeling angry and powerless in the face of what could've been, and Mikey is just doing his best to keep his older brothers from spiraling. As Leatherhead struggles with the repercussions of his time in bishop's lab, Don's doing his best as team medic. But is he really alright after what ever happened to him up on that ship?

Raph watches as his whole face tightens, creases created by exhaustion and lack of sleep becoming more visible; his eyes turn a moody and sour grey, becoming glassy and faded, looking more sunken than ever, and his mouth twists to project a pained and frustrated scowl.
