Still new to their marriage, Genya and Kanao have their ups and downs, and with a past love Genya feels in constant competition with, things don't look so good. However, every family has their problems, and Genya and Kanao can resolve their issues together. Besides, how can Genya be in a love triangle with Tanjiro Kamado & Kanao when it was always Genya who'd be the lucky one to have a shared future with Kanao?
The flying butterfly by the name of Kanao has been loved by many, not just by two lovers, but by the two families she's devoted herself to.
(You might cry, and that's to be expected because I made myself cry, too!)
(There is a minor love triangle involving Tanjiro Kamado & Kanao Tsuyuri & Genya Shinazugawa. Genya and Kanao are the end-game couple but that being said, Tanjiro and Kanao got together first. TanKana is loved in this story and so is GenKana. One pairing is not better than the other.)

Since he decided to do whatever it took to reach his brother as a Hashira, he got used to them. The faces. The faces of disgust, of anger, of fear. If he got lucky, he’d get indifference. One reaps what he sows, or so they say.
So why is he getting a smile?
He’s been mean to people, so people have been mean to him. He gets into fights with other members of the Corps. He’s always angry and always expects anger.
So why is he getting kindness?
It should be recomforting, experiencing such a thing after so long, but it isn’t. It’s unsettling. It’s not what it’s meant to be.
Genya glares, eyes unnaturally yellow. Tanjiro smiles innocently.

genya shinazugawa had always been suicidal, even when he was little.
he lived — survived long enough to reach the age of 16 atleast. he didn't know what to do with that information though, genya just didn't care.
genya had to admit it — he was depressed. there no way in denying it, he's not as gullible and stupid as he was back then. he ate but then throw it all out, why? he just didn't have the appetite to keep it all in. does that make any sense at all?
genya isn't important. well, atleast that's what he tells himself. he gets good grades, sure, he lives in a stupid rich penthouse and two overbearingly protective yet strict older brothers, okay, he had a friend group, fine, he is an ace in the shooting club, great. but that was it. he was a face in amongst the crowds. he wasn't popular like any of his friends, he wasn't as smart as his older brothers, he wasn't that too good of a looking guy. there's nothing special about him — he isn't important.
that's what genya thinks.
