But Bowser is always a step ahead, and as his plan nears completion, Mario and Sonic must confront not only him, but also the truth of their own hearts. What begins as a fight to save a princess and a world slowly transforms into a story of acceptance, healing, and a love neither of them expected.

Luigi had tried being kind, only for the dark Princess to kidnap him and keep him prisoner until he loved her. She keeps him alive for now, wanting his death to be when his heart is hers, but he never gave up hope that his brother would find him despite her saying they gave up long ago.
Hope was a hard thing to kill.

The Toads are defenceless and Mario wants to help, but can he fight his long lost twin? And is Luigi truly evil?
