John Torrington wakes up in a familiar place but something was off. Everything seems to be in place, except.....where is everyone? He explores the abandoned city of Manchester and decides to go beyond. Upon reaching the dockyard where the ships HMS Terror and HMS Erebus were to set sail, he meets John Hartnell and William Braine. They get in to find nobody inside but as soon as they get in, they set sail on their assigned ships and meet the HMS Investigator in Greenland. After setting sail from Greenland, they found out that the ships couldn't get pass King William Island. They spot the HMS Investigator and tries to get their attention but were shaken as nobody was on board besides one man, Thomas Morgan and asked him if they could go aboard. The four then set sail through the HMS Investigator but stopped at Banks Island. They had to get on board another ship, the HMS North Star, where they soon encountered numerous obstacles as they travelled through and towards their destination towards the end of the Arctic. It was here that they would discover something strange. Would they overcome these obstacles and get to the bottom of what was happening all these years of travelling?
