It's already complicated enough when John Constantine and Noah Ikumelo get stuck in 1960s Liverpool, since the House of Mysteries is on the fritz and they can't get home until they make enough money to buy some artifact that John swears they need. They're getting close to being done, though. A wrench gets thrown into the plan when Noah literally runs into a nine year old John Constantine. As soon as Noah meets baby John, and Thomas Constantine, he realizes he can't leave a child version of his father to his fate. The timeline's already messed up anyway, so what's one more match tossed into the house fire?

A re-telling of The Family Man comic arc set in Gotham, starting almost identically to the original comic and spinning off in wildly different directions due to the involvement of other DC comics characters and superheroes.
John Constantine has made a tragic mistake. He's accidentally sold an occult device to a major supervillain. Desperate to make it right, he rushes headlong to Gotham to try to stop them before they can enact their sinister plot, hampered by only one thing.
The fact he doesn't really understand the world of superheroics at all.
